Welcome to this year's winter reading and activity program. We have revamped our winter program to include new and improved fun activities and reading challenges. This year's winter program will be fully online through our easy to use Beanstack app which will be available to access through the website or a phone app.
For every 5 activities and/or reading challenges you complete, you will be entered into our grand prize drawing.
Join to share the fun you have this winter with us.

Free Summer Meals

The library will not be participating this year in the FREE Summer Meals program.
However, please read below for information on meals and food distribution in the area.
RLAS District 116 will continue to serve Grab-n-Go meals through August 2020.
Grab-n-Go meals include breakfast and lunch. Meals are currently distributed Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-11:00 am at Round Lake High School, Round Lake Middle School, Beach Elementary, Ellis Elementary, Murphy Elementary, and Village Elementary. This schedule will continue through Friday, May 29. Beginning Monday, June 1, and through at least Monday, August 31, meals will be served Monday-Thursday.
Current Grab-n-Go Meal Schedule (through Friday, May 29)
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00am-11:00am
- Double meals on Friday, May 22
- No meal distribution on Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day)
June Grab-n-Go Meal Schedule (June thru August)
- Monday - Thursday
- 8:00am-11:00am
- Double meals on Thursdays
- No meal distribution on Fridays

National Library Card Sign-up Month
UnpublishedAs students head back to school this September, we encourage parents to visit the Round Lake Area Public Library and make sure their children and teens sign up for the most important school supply of all--a library card. A library card is a key resource in achieving academic success, and the library is the perfect place to spend quality family time together. This September, open the door to a world of possibilities for the student in your life and sign up for a library card today.
Weekly Drawing!
During the month of September the Round Lake Area Public Library invites you to enter our weekly drawing for an opportunity to win a restaurant gift card. Every time you checkout, renew or register a library card throughout the week you will receive a ticket to enter the weekly drawing. No limit on the amount of entries. Each week starts a new drawing. Patrons who apply for new cards or re-register expired cards will receive a small token of appreciation while supplies last.
