This site is a wonderful resource for information on wild animals and plants of the United States. The site has information on over 6,000 individual species and has won numerous awards.

National Wildlife Federation
This site is produced by America's largest conservation organization and has tons of information about animals found all over the country.

Exploring Nature Educational Resource
This site is FULL of fun and educational information. There's resources for plants & animals, planet Earth and even science terms. Not only is there all of that, but there are games too!

Students for the Environment
This site, brought to you by the Environmental Protection Agency, has tons of fun stuff. There's plant and wildlife information, games and quizzes, homework resources and even student blog posts. Check it out!

Illinois Department of Natural Resources
This site is full of information about natural resources, including wildlife, that is specific to Illinois.

Directory of Illinois Wildlife

Forgotten Inventors
PBS created this site that focuses on inventors throughout history that may have been forgotten. The inventor of the can opener, blue jeans, and the Frisbee, among others, are highlighted on this interesting site.
