  • Community Care Connection Mobile Health Van & Free Screenings @ your library.  10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. on the following dates: March 13, April 10, and May 15.  Walk-in service only; time permitting.  Free health screenings for cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, BMI, and waist measurement.  Test results in 15 minutes.  Call 847-578-8670 for more information.  

College of Lake County – Family Literacy Partnership

The library partners with the College of Lake County to provide English classes to parents, while their children learn and develop pre-literacy skills through structured childcare activities. For more information, call (847) 543-2317. Click here for more English as a Second Language information.

District 116 School District
The library partners with the schools and its teachers throughout the year to provide materials for special projects/assignments and/or special reference assistance to the students. Teachers may contact Debbie Allen at (847) 546-7060, ext. 129. Our library staff is also available to promote literacy and library services at school and community events. Contact Elena Lara at (847) 546-7060, ext 122 for specialized needs.

Family Immigration & Citizenship Support

Home School Support
The library provides additional programming for home school groups. For more information, contact Debbie Allen at (847) 546-7060, ext. 129.

Mano a Mano Family Resource Center
The library hosts a spanish seminar series featuring health topics and other topics of interest. The library also hosts Spanish GED classes and health educator training classes.

Together for Childhood Network
Provides continuing education and facilitation of certification as a high-quality childcare educator

United Way of Lake County
Success by 6 Program & Early Learning Club (Bilingual) presented by Mano a Mano.
