However, if you return items in good condition the $5.00 processing fee will be waived. You will have to pay late fines and the $10.00 referral fee.
You may renew most items once. If someone else has placed a hold on that item, however, that item cannot be renewed. You may renew most items through our online catalog, by coming into the library, or by calling on the phone. Make sure to have your library card handy when you come in or call. You will need to give us the barcode number from your library card.
There is an outside book drop located in the parking lot and a book drop on the parking lot side of the building. These book drops can be used 24 hours a day. Please put items in one at a time. Too many items at once will jam up the book drops.
The inside book drops are located in the lobby across from the checkout desk.
Illinois Library Records Confidentiality Act protects the confidentiality of your library records. For this reason you must have your library card in order for staff to provide you information about your account. All patrons have access to their library card accounts through our on-line card catalog. You can access this information in the library or from home.
A cardholder may reserve (be put on a waiting list) for any library item, which is currently checked out to someone else. No item may be reserved by or for a specific date. Reserves can be placed in person, by tele phone (please have your card handy), or from home through our on-line catalog.
Once the cardholder has been contacted regarding the availability of a reserved item, that item will be held for seven(7) days.
If a cardholder has forgotten his/her library card, but would like items held while retrieving the card, such items will be held for three (3) days.
If we do not own an item you are looking for, you may borrow it through the Interlibrary Loan System. We can place Interlibrary Loans for Round Lake Library cardholders only. If you have questions about Interlibrary Loan, please call or stop by the reference desk.
